The Global Market Opportunities networking event, hosted by Arjun Global, concluded on a high note in London earlier this week. It brought together an amazing group of financial market leaders, traders, and global investment professionals over a morning of insight, strategy, and connection. Held on 16 th June, Monday at the elegant Rooftop Terrace, 2 Gresham Street, in the heart of the city, the half-day event attracted over 120 attendees from across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

From navigating market access in emerging economies to decoding the future of derivatives and exploring India’s growing role in global quant trading, the summit offered a rich blend of knowledge-sharing and expert panels.

The event opened with Hemal Randerwala, Director at Arjun Global, welcoming delegates with remarks on the importance of cross-market dialogue and innovation. This was followed by a keynote from David Helps, Head of International Business Development at TMX, who discussed TMX’s recent achievements and trends we are seeing at the moment.

A trio of fireside chats followed, spotlighting key players shaping global market access:

  • Jonnie Taylor of Tickmill and Randerwala discussed the shift from retail to professional trading and the rise of the “pro-tail” trader.
  • Matthew Judge (SGX) and Lael Wakefield (Trading Technologies) examined trading opportunities in Asia, highlighting SGX’s role in unlocking Asia’s edge.
  • Chris Jenkins from the Saudi Exchange outlined the Middle East’s growing influence in global markets and its alignment with Vision 2030.

A major highlight was the India Panel: “Edge in India for Global Quants & Prop Desks”, which tackled how global players can tap into India’s $4 trillion market. Moderated by Rutesh Durve (Nuvama UK), the panel featured:

  • Sriram Krishnan (NSE) on infrastructure upgrades and co-location strategies,
  • Himesh Soneji (TNS) on low-latency trading solutions, and
  • Sneha Bhagat (PwC) on tax, regulatory frameworks, and the rise of GIFT City.

This was followed by the Alpha Panel: “Global Market Edge – Insights from the Trading Frontline,” moderated by Mohit Batra (Nuvama Investment Advisors), featuring:

  • Bill O’Reilly (TTG Capital),
  • Chetan Phalak (Vihan Capital Partners), and
  • Oliver Scott (Quantsheds).

The discussion covered how alpha is being generated in 2025, strategies for navigating macroeconomic shifts, and how AI is reshaping everything from research to compliance.

The summit concluded with a rooftop networking brunch and drinks, creating an opportunity for meaningful conversations and future collaborations against the backdrop of London’s iconic skyline.

With the successful conclusion of its London edition, Arjun Global continues its mission to unlock high-impact market access conversations.
