Business Development Consultant Financial Markets

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Consultant to join our team in Mumbai. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of a global financial exchange by onboarding Indian clients to trade on its platform.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the financial markets, particularly in commodities and derivatives, with proven experience in client acquisition and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to identify and onboard new Indian trading firms and clients to the exchange platform.
  • Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients, providing them with tailored solutions to meet their trading needs.
  • Promote the exchanges trading products, with a particular focus on commodities such as crude oil futures and other Middle Eastern-focused products.
  • Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to develop customized pitches and presentations for potential clients.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes in the Indian financial markets.
  • Organize and attend industry events, networking sessions, and forums to enhance visibility and establish connections within the trading community.
  • Provide regular reports on business development activities, including pipeline management and revenue growth.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition within financial markets, preferably in commodities or derivatives trading.
  • Deep understanding of Indian financial markets and trading ecosystems.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve ambitious targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and data analysis to track and optimize business development efforts.
